Please see below for frequently asked questions regarding the Gimme Metal Vinyl Club. It is your responsibility to understand what you are signing up for. If you are unclear about anything or your question is not answered here, please reach out to help@gimmemetal.com for clarification before signing up to avoid any confusion.
PAYMENT QUESTIONS:
How much does the vinyl club cost? How much is shipping? Do you ship worldwide?
The vinyl club is $29.99USD per month plus shipping. International customers are responsible for paying any customs/import fees. If a package is rejected at customs, it will be abandoned by the postal service and you will not be refunded. Please note that we do not ship to Russia and China.
After I sign up, when will I be billed each month and when will I receive the record I am billed for?
Following the initial charge when you sign up, the bill date is the 15th of each month afterward. These charges occur automatically, you do not have to do anything. Think of your charges as pre-orders because the record you are billed for releases on the 15th of the following month. Here is an example breakdown:
- Signed up and charged October 23 for November record
- November record releases on November 15
- Charged on November 15 for December record
- December record releases on December 15
- Charged on December 15 for January record
- January record releases on January 15
- Charged on January 15 for February record
...and so on. This is why you will see two charges before you actually receive your first record.
When is the next record of the month announced?
The next record is announced about a week before the billing date via email to subscribers as well as on our social pages and on the product page.
The next record was announced and I am not interested in receiving it. Can I pick a different record to receive or skip this release?
You cannot choose which record you will receive. However, you do have the option to “skip” releases. Skipping must be done before the bill date on the 15th of the month to avoid being charged. If you would like to skip a bill date, follow these instructions:
- If you haven't already, register your account using the email address you used to sign up
- Once logged in, select "manage subscriptions"
- Click "billing schedule" in the menu
- Click the bill date you wish to skip
- Scroll down and click "skip this bill date"
Is there a limit to how many times I can skip?
No.
I forgot to skip a bill date, can I get a refund?
As per our refund policy, we do not cancel/refund processed subscription orders. Please be mindful of managing your own billing schedule.
RELEASE QUESTIONS:
Are the records exclusive to the Gimme Metal Vinyl Club? How many are pressed?
These are limited edition variants released through the club and they are completely exclusive to the Gimme Radio store.
Are the records released through the vinyl club bootlegs? What masters are used for the pressings?
The pressings are official releases put out by labels and the label is responsible for choosing the master that is used.
Can I choose the genre(s) I will receive?
No. Feel free to skip if you are not interested in a release we announce (instructions above).
Will my record come with a digital download code?
Some do, some don’t. This is up to the label.
Are the records pressed on 180 gram vinyl?
Some are, some aren’t.
Can I purchase past releases that I missed out on?
Leftover copies of past releases are available here. Customers with existing subscriptions are eligible for 15% off everything in the Gimme Store, including past releases.
SUBSCRIPTION ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:
I have signed up for the Vinyl Club and I am trying to log in but it is saying my account doesn't exist. What do I do?
A store account is not automatically created for you when you sign up, you must create one at that time or register your account later. To register, go to https://gimmemetal.com/account/register and create an account using the email address you used to do your shopping. Once you have done so you will be able to log in.
Can I cancel any time? How do I cancel?
You can cancel at any time but if you are looking to avoid being billed, ensure you cancel before the bill cycle on 15th of the month. Follow these directions to cancel:
- If you haven't already, register your account using the email address you used to sign up
- Once logged in, select "manage subscriptions"
- Select "subscriptions" in the menu
- Click "vinyl club album of the month"
- Scroll down and click "cancel subscription"
I need to update my shipping address, how do I do this?
Please reach out to help@gimmemetal.com with your updated shipping address so we can make the change for you.
How do I update my billing address?
To update your billing address, do the following:
- If you haven't already, register your account using the email address you used to sign up
- Once logged in, select "manage subscriptions"
- Select “payment methods" in the menu
- Click the payment method that requires the update
- Click "edit payment method"
- Make your changes then click "edit billing address"
How do I change my payment method?
To update your payment method, do the following:
- If you haven't already, register your account using the email address you used to sign up
- Once logged in, select "manage subscriptions"
- Select “payment methods" in the menu
- Click "add new payment method"
- Fill out the form then click "add payment method"
To apply this new payment method to your subscription:
- Select the new payment method you added
- Click "move subscriptions"
- Ensure the checkbox for your subscription is checked off
- Click "move subscriptions"
REFUNDS & EXCHANGES:
As per our refund policy, we do not offer cancellations, refunds, exchanges or returns on processed subscription items. No exceptions! However, if your record arrived defective or damaged, please reach out to us with photos so we can assess.
